Why Apply?

  • Leadership Development:
    Serve as an active member of the Next Generation Service Corps for four semesters, and engage in 10-15 hours monthly in required events, service activities and networking opportunities.

  • Earn Three Credentials in Three Years:
    Complete your bachelor’s degree, earn a Certificate in Cross-Sector Leadership and graduate with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from ASU's top-ranked School of Public Affairs—all within an accelerated timeline.

  • Real-World Experience in Washington, DC:
    Spend a full calendar year (June-May) in the nation’s capital, interning with federal agencies and organizations while completing advanced graduate coursework.*

  • Financial Support for Your Journey:
    Receive a Public Service Academy Scholarship for seven semesters of undergraduate study and additional tuition support for graduate-level courses and summer classes in Washington, DC. 

*The costs of living in DC are the responsibility of the student with encouragement to seek financial support.

Application Criteria

The NGSC Accelerated Federal Career Track is designed for motivated students who:

   Have a minimum 3.40 GPA

    Are full-time undergraduate students

    Are Arizona residents (in-state students)

   Are enrolled as an on-campus, immersion student

   Have a passion for federal government work

   Demonstrate a commitment to service and leadership

   Complete 60–79 credit hours by June 1, with plans to graduate no sooner than Spring 2027

We strongly encourage first-generation students and those with high financial need to apply.
