Vision

Our Vision

Public Service Academies at public universities around the country that develop military and civilian national service leaders, side by side, armed with the skills, networks and experiences to take on our most complex challenges.

A national network of Public Service Academies will produce a new generation of values based, character driven and adaptive leaders for both civilian and military service to the nation.  In 2019 ASU will graduate the first Public Service Academy graduates, at scale Academies around the country will be producing thousands of PSA graduates annually and engaging a new generation of Americans in service to their nation.

NextGen Service seeks to create an American democracy strengthened by broad participation in public service, diverse leadership, and constructive collaboration by inspiring and preparing college students to serve their communities and Nation as well as drive change.

The Next Generation Service Partnership (NextGen Service) is a national initiative led by the Arizona State University Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions and the Volcker Alliance. NextGen Service seeks to create an American democracy strengthened by broad participation in public service, diverse leadership, and constructive collaboration by inspiring and preparing college students to serve their communities and Nation as well as drive change. NextGen Service builds on the desire of young people across the country, many of whom are socially and politically aware and engaged in the civic sector, to have a meaningful impact throughout their careers. Read more about NextGen Service here.
